This privacy policy applies to the 1Medium app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by 1Medium, Inc. (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Commercial service. This service is intended for use "AS IS."

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include but is not limited to:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
  • The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
  • The operating system you use on your mobile device

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Email, User ID, and Full Name. The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.

Google Calendar and People API

The Application integrates with Google Calendar and People API to provide calendar and contact management functionality. Specifically, the Application makes use of the following permissions:

  • ./auth/userinfo.email and ./auth/userinfo.profile: To obtain user information such as email and basic profile details for storing and identifying user data within the Application.
  • ./auth/calendar: To allow the Application to create, delete, and modify calendar events on your behalf. This scope permits access to all calendars you have the ability to edit.
  • ./auth/contacts.readonly: To read and download contacts from the Google People API.
  • ./auth/contacts.other.readonly: To read and download contact information automatically saved in your "Other contacts" through the Google People API.
  • ./auth/directory.readonly: To read directory information for users in your Google Workspace, if applicable.

The Application uses these permissions strictly for the purposes of calendar event scheduling, editing, and managing contacts. The information accessed from the People API is used to enhance user experience by providing seamless integration of your contacts with the Application's features.

Third-Party Access

We do not share your personal information with third parties.

The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own privacy policies regarding handling data. Below are links to the privacy policies of third-party service providers used by the Application:

  • Google Play Services
  • Google Calendar API
  • Google People API

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:

  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
  • When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
  • With trusted service providers who work on their behalf and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or through the application marketplace.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like the Service Provider to delete the data you have provided, please contact them at [email protected], and they will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. In the event that such information is discovered, it will be promptly deleted. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at [email protected].

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. They implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information processed and maintained.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use of the Application is deemed acceptance of all changes.
